I’ve spent most of my life wondering how to become happy. Things haven’t always been great. But I’ve always managed to see the bright side. Not always, but let’s say ‘always’ anyway.
I’ve been reading books about happiness, reading various blogs, taking advice from people who claim to have found the secret to it all. And you know what.. Happiness isn’t something that you need to find, but something that finds you. People need to stop looking for it. Stop looking for everything, just get on with whatever floats your boat (as the English people say), realise your dreams and do whatever is right.
We all feel happy when we have a purpose. And our purpose is usually there waiting to be acknowledged, it could be making someone a cup of tea, giving a smile, chatting about anything and everything, teaching things, showing your talents and gifts…
We put so much pressure on ourselves to be Great, to be successful, to appear happy, to do everything right and always be noticed. And you know.. None of this matters if it doesn’t make YOU happy.
Anyway, some Great news to my dear Flickr friends – David asked me to marry him and I said ‘Yes’. We are looking for a photographer (Herts, UK) for our marriage next year so if you’re Great, you are not too expensive, get in touch with me. Our marriage is going to be organized by everyone chipping in and doing their bit as we don’t have much of a budget so friends, family and strangers will probably make our marriage happen. But hey… that’s life. I’ve always said that I’d rather be happy than rich. So here I have it..! Haha!
This is me, my grandma and my two sisters. Typical Lithuanian grandma and her house scenery with crazy granddaughters.
