Some images just lend themselves to monochrome. I posed this shot with Davy and Alina reflected in the grand piano and just wanted that classic look. I love certain images in black and white, and this was one of them. It’s a narrative about the transition to adulthood, and the tuxedo and evening dress are cultural norms of what culture we have, mostly inherited from our British ancestry.
It’s tough to make a living out of professional photography. Some of the people who are making the most money churn out the most banal, mediocre, mass produced and rubbish images, however they are expert at business. Go figure.
